The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) continues to provide support to the Pantawid beneficiaries through its Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP). There were a total of 24 fishermen from South Lamidan, Don Marcelino in Davao Occidental who got new boats (bangka).

SLP Davao Occidental Provincial Coordinator, Arthur Diaz, reported that DSWD regional office turned over new set of non-motorized bancas to 24 fishermen of South Lamidan, a coastal village of Don Marcelino. Diaz said that the beneficiaries primarily depend on the province’s rich coastal and marine resources.
